Color: From light yellow to dark brown (Real honey color may vary from the image)
Forest honey usually is from yellow up to dark brown color. It has more minerals compared to lighter honey varieties. Forest honey is recommended during the cold period during the upper respiratory tract inflammation, as well as the general strengthening of the body and strengthening the immune system.
About our honey
Our honey comes from a natural organic farm that has not seen any pesticides or herbicides over the last decade. Our bees take nectar from a variety of wildflowers to make this wonderful, medium strength aromatic honey. All our honey is raw. Taken from the beehive, extracted and then poured.
How Bees make honey?
Bees swallow, digest and regurgitate nectar to make honey, this nectar contains almost 600 compounds. We need our bees, so let’s do everything we can to save them and keep them here on this earth.
Honey Health Benefits:
1. Prevent cancer and heart disease:
Honey contains flavonoids, antioxidants which help reduce the risk of some cancers and heart disease.
2. Reduce ulcers and other gastrointestinal disorders.
Recent research shows that honey treatment may help disorders such as ulcers and bacterial gastroenteritis. This may be related to the 3rd benefit…
3. Anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-fungal:
“All honey is antibacterial, because the bees add an enzyme that makes hydrogen peroxide,” said Peter Molan, director of the Honey Research Unit at the University of Waikato in New Zealand.
4. Increase athletic performance.
Ancient Olympic athletes would eat honey and dried figs to enhance their performance. This has now been verified with modern studies, showing that it is superior in maintaining glycogen levels and improving recovery time than other sweeteners.
5. Reduce cough and throat irritation:
Honey helps with coughs, particularly buckwheat honey. In a study of 110 children, a single dose of buckwheat honey was just as effective as a single dose of dextromethorphan in relieving nocturnal cough and allowing proper sleep.
About sugar in honey
We do not add any sugar to our honey. Our bees are not fed any sugar syrup during the honey flow. We fed our bees only with ambrosia – it also called Gods food.
How to check if our honey is genuine?
Put some honey onto a cotton bud and set it alight. If honey is genuine and has had no sugar added to it, it will just melt. If honey hisses, smells like cotton candy or starts going off like fireworks, it has definitely had sugar added to it. And then it is not genuine.
